Brief Description:Our employer is a leader in providing high-end security solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of their clients. They are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. In this role, you will support their financial analysis, reporting, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on with IFRS reporting, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and experienced with public-company processes, including interim and annual audits and regulatory filings. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.Job Function:Close & Reporting:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes (journal entries, accruals, variance analysis)
- Perform balance sheet reviews and complete balance sheet account reconciliations (cash, receivables, payables, inventory, fixed assets, intangible assets, prepaids, accruals, intercompany leases, stock options, etc.)
- Assist in preparing working papers and supporting schedules.
- Support quarterly and annual public-company filings (e.g., financial statements, notes, and supporting schedules).
- Collaborate to ensure disclosure consistency and perform tie-outs across financial statements and supporting documents.
- Assist with internal controls documentation and testing support as needed.
- Support interim and annual audits, including
- Gathering and organizing audit support and evidence
- Performing walk-throughs with auditors
- Coordinating responses to PBC requests
- Supporting inventory cycle counts and related testing
- Completing bank reconciliations and proving supporting documentation.
- Help strengthen processes and internal controls around financial close, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Prepare revenue trend and variance analyses, margin and cost analyses, and ad hoc financial models to support decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close, reconciliations, and reporting cycles.
Job Requirement:
- 3-5 years of finance/ accounting experience within a public company environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Advanced Excel skills
- Hands-on involvement in quarterly and annual close processes
- Experience preparing working papers and supporting external audits
- Familiarity with public company filing cycles and documentation standards
