- Lead and manage all environmental aspects of a major infrastructure project, ensuring compliance with permits, licenses, and environmental legislation.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the project’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Liaise effectively with government authorities and stakeholders on environmental compliance and sustainability matters.
- Oversee environmental monitoring, reporting, and data analysis, including the use of dispersion and emissions models.
- Direct the preparation and authorization of environmental reports, plans, and submissions.
- Mentor and lead environmental staff, including coordination of inspections for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying risks, implementing mitigation measures, and promoting sustainable practices across the project.
- Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in environmental management within infrastructure or heavy construction settings.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop technical teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated confidence in stakeholder engagement and reporting.
