
Human Resources Business Partner (14-month contract)

- Provides consultation on the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies and procedures to all levels of management and team members for the Company's Corporate Services function
- Acts as a trusted advisor to internal client groups and partners with team members across the Corporate Services teams on all human resources related matters.
- Coordinates and prepares Leave of Absence documentation for team members; maintains Leave of Absence files (such as protected and unprotected medical leave, worker's compensation, bereavement, etc.), including the return-to-work program and processes
- Coach's leaders through separation processes, including preparing termination paperwork in accordance with company policy and applicable legislation, participating in exit meetings, conducting exit interviews as required
- Supports immigration and relocation activities, as required (OINP, etc.)
- Responsible for onboarding and facilitates various training sessions to support the success of Corporate Services team members.
- Completes monthly reoccurring audits for existing HR processes and participates in internal and external audits as required
- Supports the gaming registration/registration renewal process for Corporate Services team members. Responsible for the maintenance of the corporate registration matrix.
- Supports Health and Safety initiatives, projects including completing WSIB reporting for Corporate Services team members, as needed
- Partner with the HR functions (Talent Acquisition, Labour Relations, Total Rewards, Leadership and Learning, HR Shared Services, Payroll and Health and Safety) to support high impact talent acquisition, effective learning and development programs, Joint Health & Safety related initiatives to drive business results, encourage talent development while also supporting team member engagement, retention and attraction.
- Liaise with other corporate departments such as Legal and Compliance for employment related matters as appropriate.
- University degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a progressive Human Resources Generalist role
- CHRP designation is preferred

- Ability to obtain and maintain gaming registrations as required
- Solid MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Experience with Human Resources Information systems; Oracle HCM Cloud preferred
