The short order cook is responsible for the ingredient control of recipes which includes the measuring and portioning of recipe ingredients and the production of food items for the patient menu. The Short Order Cook is also responsible for following cost control procedures, safe food handling procedures, therapeutic, allergy and menu standards, and providing overall customer service according to departmental standards.Frequent physical demands including extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and transferring food supplies throughout the shift.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Grade 12 or GED1-year related experienceAbility to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful mannerCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPLEASE NOTE: Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must clearly state such equivalencies in their cover letter, resume, or application.
