
Structural Engineer

- Responsible for the designing and detailing of structural elements including design and calculations, computer modelling, and analysis
- Works to assemble and coordinate engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team.
- Answer contractor RFI’s and oversee contract administration.
- Drafts project-related correspondence as needed.
- Participates in client meetings facilitating solutions to design issues and challenges and providing status updates.
- Conducts review of the architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.
- Mentors junior staff with design and delivery elements of a project to ensure standards are upheld.
- Such other duties and responsibilities as Entuitive may assign to you from time to time.

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience relevant to the role, with a minimum of 3+ years in a project engineering capacity for residential and institutional projects
- P.Eng. registered in the province you are hired.
- Advanced concrete design skills, including high-rise buildings design experience
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Have a working knowledge on current Building Codes, By-Laws and building material codes.
- Strong project management capability with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have strong knowledge of structural analysis software including SAFE, ETABS, S-SAP2000, S-Concrete, etc.
- Advanced experience in working with reinforced concrete, structural steel and mass timber
- Advanced lateral design experience in both Wind and Seismic design
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage scope, schedule and budget.
- Flexible working hours, 37.5 hour work week.
