We're seeking a Regional Controller - Canada to partner closely with senior operations leadership and shape the financial performance of our restaurant portfolio across the region.This is a high-visibility role with direct influence on profitability, forecasting strategy, and operational performance.What You'll DoStrategic Partnership
- Collaborate with the Regional VP and operations leaders to drive financial performance and deliver actionable business insights.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, practical recommendations for non-financial stakeholders.
- Support site-level leaders with financial tools, cost management strategies, and performance optimization.
- Mentor and guide finance team members while partnering with corporate finance leadership.
- Travel approximately 25% within Canada to support operations and strengthen cross-functional relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive corporate accounting/finance experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
- Food & beverage, hospitality, or multi-unit retail experience strongly preferred.
- CPA designation (or working toward) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and cost analysis tools.
- Ability to influence and build strong partnerships with operations leaders.
- Skilled at communicating financial insights to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
