Senior Accountant

• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable standards (IFRS/ASPE).
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Lead the preparation and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support tax reporting and regulatory filings as needed.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices and technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation (or in progress) is highly preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within mining, natural resources, or a similar industry.
• Strong working knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
