About the Client
Our client is sourcing a Consultant, Valuations for a 2-month contract.About the Opportunity
  • Lead and support the evaluation and assessment of private market assets across infrastructure and alternative credit strategies, including both direct deals and fund investments.
  • Design, enhance, and maintain complex financial models, incorporating scenario testing and industry-specific benchmarks.
  • Ensure valuation data and outputs are logically supported, internally consistent, and properly documented.
  • Monitor portfolio company performance, macroeconomic trends, and sector-specific developments to determine potential valuation impacts.
  • Partner closely with investment teams and third-party valuation professionals to confirm valuation approaches and key assumptions.
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic reports for internal teams, clients, and governance bodies.
  • Play a critical role in annual valuation reviews and external audit processes.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across finance, investment operations, and reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data.
  • Contribute to process enhancements, special projects, and broader team initiatives to improve valuation practices.
About You
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related area.
  • Professional designation such as CBV or CFA is highly preferred; CPA is considered beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in valuations, investment analysis, or related roles within private markets, professional services, or financial institutions.
  • Deep knowledge of valuation standards, fair value reporting (e.g., under IFRS), and private capital investments—experience with infrastructure and private debt is a strong asset.
  • Highly skilled in financial modelling and analysis, with an advanced command of Excel. Familiarity with automation or analytics tools (VBA, Python, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
