- Preparation, coordination and participation in field programs to collect and analyze environmental data (both office and field duties).
- Preparation of project deliverables: workplans, technical letters, memorandums, reports, maps, drawings, and detailed design packages.
- Development of technical approaches in conjunction with senior staff on site assessment, remedial options analysis and remediation projects.
- Preparing project specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates for remedial options analysis and implementation.
- Performing project supervision, administration, and monitoring, including contract close out and reporting (both office and field duties).
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (Science, Geotechnical, Geology, Environmental Engineering, etc.) + four (4) years of related experience within this field.
- Project experience with contaminated sites in Nova Scotia.
- Experience with field work conducting sampling of media (groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, etc.).
- Understanding of the Nova Scotia Contaminated Sites Guidelines and associated regulation and protocols.
- Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
- Registered, or have the ability to register, with Engineers Nova Scotia as a P.Eng. or Association of Professional Geoscientists of Nova Scotia as a P.Geo.
- Experience with mining related projects, including historical mine sites.
- Technical report writing.
- Willingness to travel to job sites (sometimes remote) on occasion.
- Field work experience.
- Working in a team setting to meet timelines and quality management.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Excel and Word.
