
Civil Structural Engineer - Hydroelectricity & Dams

- Design of new hydraulic structures, including dams, spillways, intake structures, and associated hydroelectric facilities
- Engineering for the refurbishment and rehabilitation of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric installations
- Execution of design calculations for reinforced concrete and structural steel components.
- Conducting feasibility studies, preliminary designs, and various technical assessments
- Stability analyses of dams and diverse hydraulic structures, in line with regulatory and industry standards
- Safety evaluations of dam structures, adhering to provincial and national safety frameworks
- On-site inspections of hydraulic and hydroelectric infrastructure
- Engineering input for the preparation of technical plans and specifications
- Participation in the analysis and optimization of construction methodologies
- Involvement in cost estimation and budgeting for infrastructure projects
- Providing technical support during construction phases, both remotely and through site visits
- Supporting teams of engineers and technicians in both design and implementation stages
- Contributing to multidisciplinary technical coordination and overall project management
- University Degree in Civil Engineering
- Proven experience in civil/structural engineering
- Experience in the hydroelectric and dam sector (an asset)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design (primarily in concrete and steel structures)
- Membership with l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible for registration
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written, within a professional context to support national-level project communication (an asset)
