Reporting to the Operations Manager of Controls Services, this role requires an enthusiastic, technically minded individual with an aptitude for mechanical, electrical, and software systems and an ability to work as part of a multi-faceted team.Role Responsibilities
  • Estimation: Work with the AM (Account Management) and Services teams to ensure Owner-direct projects are quoted accurately and closed as per requirements (tendered and non-tendered)
  • Assist with Owner-direct design-build projects to ensure they are quoted accurately and deliver exceptional value for the client
  • Provide technical input on the scope/approach of design-build opportunities
  • Attend sites with various Services team members to review scope to ensure accurate estimation
  • Review pricing with various Service team members to ensure robust pricing
  • Communicate with Construction estimation team to make sure all viable opportunities are closed
  • Help create simple “design concept” drawings to support pursuits success
  • Ensure robust handovers of awarded projects to Service Operations team
  • Assist Project Managers, Field Technical Leads, and the Installation Team to provide consistent project delivery
  • Support Field Technical Teams from the office or on-site as required
  • Able work on several projects concurrently and be adaptable to changing priorities
  • Assist Project Managers, Field Technical Leads, and the Installation Team to provide consistent project delivery.
Applicant Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, post-secondary technical diploma, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of BAS design experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Niagara Ax/N4 experience
  • HVAC controls design experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio
  • Experience with Distech GFX controls an asset
  • IT networking, Lighting controls, and Security system experience is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving ability and willingness for field work and hands-on learning
  • Dedicated attention to detail, and a passion for doing quality work in a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license
