- Define, implement, and evolve the financial strategy in alignment with growth objectives, profitability targets, and the company’s strategic direction;
- Act as the owner of financial performance (P&L), analyze variances, identify improvement levers, and lead action plans in collaboration with operational teams;
- Support senior leadership in key decision-making, including investments, initiative prioritization, strategic trade-offs, and capital allocation;
- Lead all financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and performance analysis across short, medium, and long-term horizons;
- Establish and monitor relevant key performance indicators tailored to the retail business by entity;
- Ensure a high level of quality, clarity, and relevance of financial information provided to leadership.
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity management, and working capital to ensure financial stability and support growth;
- Lead and optimize inventory management in collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve turnover, reduce costs, and support overall performance;
- Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, internal controls, taxation, and compliance, ensuring rigor, transparency, and strong governance.
- Play a key role in the implementation and evolution of financial systems (ERP, analytics tools, BI) and in modernizing financial models and processes;
- Integrate automation and artificial intelligence solutions to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate financial cycles, and improve the quality of decision-making insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, business partners, tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel;
- Ensure regulatory, tax, and legal compliance across all jurisdictions in which the company operates;
- Anticipate, assess, and manage financial and organizational risks to protect the company’s sustainability and reputation;
- Lead, structure, and develop Finance and Inventory teams, ensuring succession planning and ongoing capability development;
- Actively participate in the executive committee and directly contribute to shaping and executing the organization’s overall strategy.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA designation;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance leadership role;
- Retail industry experience is a strong asset;
- Experience in a multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction environment, particularly across Canada and the United States;
- Strong ability to interact with external partners such as banks, tax advisors, and legal counsel;
- Excellent proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.
