Field Service Technician
Location: Toronto, ON
Salary: 65k-75kAn established and highly respected engineering consulting firm is seeking a Field Service Technician to join its growing team in Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem solving, and being involved in a wide variety of building systems projects across some of the city’s most notable developments.This role offers strong long-term career growth, exposure to complex commercial and institutional projects, and the chance to work alongside a collaborative team of experienced industry professionals.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of building systems and equipment
  • Support commissioning, start-up, and performance verification activities
  • Diagnose technical issues and recommend practical solutions in the field
  • Prepare clear service reports, documentation, and field notes
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project success
  • Assist with preventative maintenance reviews and system optimization initiatives
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable standards and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a Field Service Technician, Building Operator, Commissioning, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical role
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar/relevant role
  • Strong troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with commercial, institutional, or multi-residential building systems is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and project teams
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites within the GTA
