- Provide support to employees through the disability management process.
- Support HR Consultants with disciplinary processes.
- Participate in onboarding and orientation processes.
- Support miscellaneous letter requirements and job description development.
- Track and report HR metrics, including executive and board-level reporting.
- Conduct research on HR legislation and compliance requirements.
- Maintain HR SharePoint content and support policy communication and education.
- Lead the annual HR Effectiveness Survey and contribute to employer submissions.
- Lead student and co-op recruitment programs and support career fair participation.
- Collaborate on Indigenous employment initiatives and scholarship programs.
- Assist in the management of day-to-day recruitment activities in the HRIS Recruiting Portal.
- Coordinate job postings, approvals, and candidate communications.
- Support hiring managers and union selection committees through consistent and compliant hiring practices.
- Diploma in Human Resources or related field with 3+ years of HR experience (equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of Canada Labour Code, PIPEDA, and collective agreements.
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for recruitment events.
- CPHR designation is an asset.
