- Lead the Electrical team design rigs for testing to accomplish the Experimental department's objectives in support of Bombardier's development, certification and fleet support requirements by ensuring teams' deliverables are produced according to first-time quality standard, on schedule and within budget.
- Supervise and coordinate the design of data acquisition, power, controls/automation and instrumentation systems as well as writing technical requirements and reports
- Supervise and coordinate load and power analyses of engineering and technologist within your team
- Take concrete actions and interventions to maintain a safe workplace and act on prevention in Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Work to build an engaging, safe, diverse and inclusive workplace for all in accordance with Bombardier ethics and compliance policies.
- Drive for the highest Quality standard and be accountable for Engineering Quality, Quality metrics and Quality improvement initiatives.
- Establish Improvement initiatives plan (Strategic and technical) and drive for continuous Improvement & first-time right mindset for the Experimental Design team.
- Embrace Bombardier Operational Excellence System, it's deployment and take concrete action to eliminate non-added value.
- Manage employee performance, set yearly operational objectives, provide continuous feedback.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring and training to enable employees to reach their goals and deliverables.
- Establish Team critical skills, gap analysis and cross-training plan to optimize flexibility and ensure knowledge transfer in preparation of future Aircraft program development.
- Establish yearly budget and support quarterly forecasts to evaluate the team manpower requirements and plan short-term and long-term resources allocation.
- Play a crucial role within Bombardier Experimental department, participate in and contribute to the success and achievement of a multitude of unique and challenging projects
- You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, with a minimum of twelve (12) years of aerospace experience.
- You are a member of Quebec's Order of Engineer.
- You are bilingual (French and English)
- You already have a minimum of 3 years of management experience with direct reports, including executing performance appraisals, managing staffing allocation and career development.
- You demonstrated history of recruiting, retaining, and promoting world class talent developing staff members to optimize their potential and their performance.
- You have experience and knowledge of aircraft ground testing including Systems rigs (Avionics & Electrical), Structural rigs as well as knowledge of flight test aircraft outfitting engineering.
- You have knowledge of simulation, cockpit components and their functionality and knowledge of the various aircraft system as well as their communication protocols and data exchange processes
- You have Knowledge of Rockwell PLCs and controllers, data acquisition, industrial controls and power distribution of 600Vac or less
- You have practical experience in equipment design in an industrial context and you are familiar with the CSA C22.2 No.14 standard. Knowledge of SAE AS50881, IPC / WHMA-A-620B and IPC / EIA J-STD-001C aeronautical standards is an asset

You have experience with in-depth analysis of symptoms, root causes and impacts of technical problems.

- You show very strong leadership skills, judgment, flexibility and the ability to influence others.
- You demonstrate good communication skills.
