- Own and manage a portfolio of group benefits clients, driving retention and long-term relationship growth
- Lead the full renewal cycle: negotiate terms, prepare and present renewal options, and deliver quarterly performance updates
- Prepare and submit Requests for Proposal (RFPs), analyze insurer quotes, negotiate final terms, and present strategic recommendations
- Oversee implementation of new clients, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
- Market client programs when strategically appropriate
- Provide ongoing plan administration training and support to client administrators
- Host employee education sessions to explain benefit offerings and platform tools
- Prepare member communications, memos, and support materials
- Advise clients on industry trends, legislative updates, and plan changes
- Partner with internal service specialists to support daily administration, enrollments, billing, amendments, and documentation
- Assist plan members with claims inquiries and individual coverage solutions when transitioning off group plans
- Collaborate with leadership to support business development initiatives, including:
- Participating in prospect strategy discussions
- Benchmarking coverage and pricing
- Liaising with national and international insurers
- Preparing and presenting proposals to prospective clients
- Contributing to annual business planning and growth strategies
- Delivering friendly, professional service that makes a meaningful impact

- Minimum 7+ years of Employee Benefits insurance experience, including 3+ years in a client-facing management role
- Strong understanding of group benefits renewals, plan design, and insurer negotiations
- Knowledge of international benefits planning considered an asset
- LLQP/Life License (or willingness to obtain).
- GBA designation
- Post-secondary degree or diploma
