The Chief Estimator will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team. They will oversee the entire estimating process from pre-construction to project execution. This will include preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, managing tenders, and ensuring seamless coordination between all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a collaborative environment.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
  • Oversee the pre-construction process, working closely with clients and project teams to evaluate project scope, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage tendering processes, including analyzing bid submissions, negotiating with subcontractors, and finalizing contracts.
  • Provide cost analysis and value engineering throughout the pre-construction and construction phases to optimize budget and project efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and reflected in the estimates.
  • Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure smooth transition from pre-construction and estimating to project execution.
  • Perform risk assessments and provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
  • Review historical data and apply unit prices and productivity factors to establish benchmark estimates.
  • Track and analyze project costs, timelines, and performance to provide feedback for future estimates.
  • Stay up-to-date with current market trends, material prices, and industry standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise in estimating best practices.

  • 10+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Experience in pre-construction, tenders, and construction management.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
