- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
- Oversee the pre-construction process, working closely with clients and project teams to evaluate project scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage tendering processes, including analyzing bid submissions, negotiating with subcontractors, and finalizing contracts.
- Provide cost analysis and value engineering throughout the pre-construction and construction phases to optimize budget and project efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and reflected in the estimates.
- Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure smooth transition from pre-construction and estimating to project execution.
- Perform risk assessments and provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
- Review historical data and apply unit prices and productivity factors to establish benchmark estimates.
- Track and analyze project costs, timelines, and performance to provide feedback for future estimates.
- Stay up-to-date with current market trends, material prices, and industry standards.
- Lead and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise in estimating best practices.
- 10+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Experience in pre-construction, tenders, and construction management.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership experience is a plus.
