Join our team and help us keep communities connected.Your OpportunityOur Markham office is currently seeking a Senior CADD Design Manager – (Transportation) to join our team, to provide drawing leadership on various transportation projects. The individual will be responsible for setting up and maintaining drawings for multi-disciplinary assignments support our Roads and Transit teams.Your Key ResponsibilitiesParticipating in the design and preparation of engineering drawings and displaysEstablish and Prepare project-specific CADD and drawing standards and setup guidelines for multi-disciplinary projectsEstablish drawing delivery and interface requirements in consultation with clientsSetup, manage and maintain project collaboration software (E.g. ProjectWise)Communicate effectively in writing and speech with staff at all levels including outside consultantsTrain personnel on the usage of CADD standards and project collaboration softwareProvide ongoing support and direction for project CADD personnelAuditing and enforcement of project CADD standardsEngineering calculationsOrganizing and maintaining a design and CADD digital file database for each projectCreates and enforces CADD Standards on a project-by-project basis.Other related duties as assigned ""Your Capabilities and CredentialsAdvanced knowledge in MicroStation and AutoCAD is requiredAdvanced knowledge of Inroads, Open Roads and Civil 3DExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as good relationship building skills with respect to your interactions with team members, clients and contractorsProficiency in MS Office Suite including Word and Excel is requiredEffective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines while work independentlyMentoring, coaching and training staffA strong work ethic with the desire to excel and to achieveAbility to provide direction and guidance to others.Familiar with Ontario Provincial Standard contracts and detailsA self-starter who can work unsupervised.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Education and Experience
Civil Engineering Technology diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or approved equivalent combination of
