- Be part of ORA (Operations Readiness Assurance) Core Team member. Deliver procedures, manuals, e-PTW.
- Support the Operations Management in executing the ORA Plan to ensure readiness for CSU into the Operational Phase of the project and throughout the life cycle of the facility.
- During Project Phase of the facility will attend required HAZOPS/ 3D Model reviews, Operability/Material Handling reviews, P&ID verification and detailed Engineering reviews as requested.
- Key CSU Team member during the CSU Phase of the Project.
- Overall responsibility/ownership for safe production and execution of activities/tasks in the plant operational area during their shift.
- Ensure a functional Shift Team capable of supporting LNG production on a continuous basis.
- Ensure execution of Quality Assurance of plant and equipment during project phase.
- Availability and Reliability of plant and equipment during their shift.
- Support Implementation of the agreed Maintenance Strategy.
- Support PTW including functionality/improvements, isolations standards, competencies, issuing, precautions, compliance, auditing, PTW manuals and authorization.
- Ensure all equipment and plant to be handed over for maintenance is correctly isolated and in a safe state for personnel to undertake tasks.
- Ensure all equipment and plant are of maximum availability for safety and production.
- Shift Team Competencies and Training requirements are in place and measured.
- Communicate yearly tasks and targets for all shift personnel under his leadership.
- Develop and implementation of check lists & routines for plant and equipment.
- Timely delivery of input data and correctness for plant daily shift report to Shift Superintendent.
- Interface with the Technical Services Department for integrity issues and compliance checks.
- Interface with HSSE department for compliance and improvements.
- Interface with other departments for support requirements and documentation.
- Mentor and influence personnel for implementation of best practices.
- 100% compliance with company HSE policies and guidelines.
- Champion HSE as a member of the LNG Operations Team.
- Lead HSE Shift Meeting/ safety walks /audits if and when required.
- Timely intervention to mitigate risks and ensure safety of personnel and plant.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to influence overall safety behavior in the plant.
- Safeguarding systems checks lists are implemented/completed by Shift Operations to agreed frequencies and standards.
- Ensure that Shift Operations Emergency Response capabilities are 100% met during shift period.
- Minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas Production Facilities.
- 4th Class Power Engineering Diploma as a minimum.
- Previous experience in Operations in a Supervisor or Lead/Head Operator role.
- Previous experience during project phase including Commissioning and Start-Up.
- Previous experience working with other departments to support production targets.
- Experienced in Leading a First Intervention Team during Emergency Responses.
- Fully versed in Managing Safe Work with Permit to Work System.
- Are willing to comply with WLNG's drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
- Motivated person with a mentoring and coaching approach “One Team “.
- Energetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processes.
- Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams, contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset.
- Communication/interpersonal skills – to be able to interact with front line workers through to management.
- Competent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to work well under pressure handling tasks, targets and changing priorities within tight time frames.
- Shares knowledge readily and encourages personal development.
- Expertise with a variety of computer programs (e.g. MS Office).
- A valid driver’s license (with abstract) and passport.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- This role will be a combination of office and site-based role in the beginning during Project Construction Phase.
- The position is based in Squamish, BC (Project Site), with an initial stay period at the Vancouver Office until CSU Phase.
