- Sales Leadership: Engage with engineering firms, contractors, OEMs, end users, and distributors to secure new business and expand existing relationships.
- Strategic Planning: Develop sales strategies for target markets, aligned with company goals.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct sales calls, product demonstrations, training, and presentations.
- Market Insights: Assess customer needs and market trends to create effective sales campaigns.
- Tracking & Reporting: Use Salesforce.com to manage sales activities and project progress.
- Trade Events: Represent Hayward at trade shows and industry events to promote our brand.
- Team Collaboration: Work with Customer Care, Technical Service, and other teams to ensure high-quality service.
- Account Management: Support Customer Service in maintaining key account information.
- Travel: Up to 50% travel within Canada and occasional U.S. trips.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 7+ years in technical or industry sales, with knowledge of flow control products.
- Skills: Strong communication, technical aptitude, and presentation abilities.
- Market Knowledge: Experience in water treatment, mining, aquatics, or chemical processing is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce), Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Driver's License: Must hold a valid license for travel.
- Problem Solving: Proactively resolves challenges.
- Customer Service: Delivers responsive, high-quality customer interactions.
- Professionalism: Acts with respect, even under pressure.
- Dependability: Consistently meets commitments and communicates effectively.
