Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Rope Access Technician is responsible for performing exterior building maintenance on high-rise buildings and other elevated structures, with a primary focus on window cleaning and window caulking services. This role involves accessing buildings using rope access techniques to deliver high-quality glazing maintenance, including removal and replacement of window caulking, sealing, and exterior glass cleaning.Because of the inherent risks associated with working at heights, technicians must have recognized training, conduct regular safety and quality inspections, and strictly adhere to all company and legislated health and safety requirements. Technicians are expected to represent Aurum professionally while working at client sites and maintain the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism.Hourly Rate: $25-$30/hourPosition Type: 3 months contract (Potential to extend)Time- 40 hours/weekLocation – Vancouver, BCResponsibilities :
  • Perform high-rise window cleaning using approved rope access methods.
  • Carry out window caulking, sealant removal, and sealant replacement on building exteriors.
  • Access building facades safely using rope access systems and high-angle work techniques.
  • Conduct visual inspections of windows, frames, and building exteriors to identify sealing or maintenance issues.
  • Ensure proper preparation of surfaces prior to caulking or sealing work
  • Maintain and manage rope access and window cleaning equipment on site.
  • Assist in hazard assessments and job planning to eliminate or mitigate safety risks/
  • Report regularly to the Dispatch Manager for work instructions, updates, and progress reports.
  • Follow all company policies and legislated health and safety requirements.
  • Participate in training programs and safety meetings as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience in window cleaning and/or window caulking on high-rise commercial or residential buildings.
  • IRATA OE SPRAT Level 1, 2, or 3 certification is required
  • Working at heights certification is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working at heights
Work Conditions:
  • Working over 30 feet on a regular basis
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
