Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated Line/Prep Cook to join our recently renovated restaurant in Gold River, B.C. The successful candidate will prepare high-quality meals following established culinary standards while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation practices. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager/Chef, this full-time role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Staff housing is available, and a vehicle is recommended due to the remote location. Compensation is up to $65,000 annually, with a start date of September 1st, 2025.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items in a timely, consistent, and high-quality manner according to hotel recipes and presentation standards set by the Kitchen Manager/Chef.
  • Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to maintain food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by following sanitation and cleaning schedules.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service during all meal periods.
  • Assist in the receiving and storage of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Maintain awareness of food allergies and dietary restrictions, ensuring all dishes are prepared safely.
  • Monitor food waste and strive for efficient use of products to minimize costs.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, hotel policies, and local food code regulations.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and other job-related events as required.
Requirements:
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • High school education, culinary arts program an asset.
  • 2-3 years' experience as a Prep/Line Cook in a hotel or high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, and cold from kitchen appliances and storage.
