Description :COMPANY PROFILEPrimoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.SUMMARYThe Heavy Equipment Operator is involved in the operation of various pieces of equipment to move materials, equipment, snow, and dirt. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.Location: CNRL - Fort McMurray, ABAccommodation: Camp availableTravel: Flights provided from Edmonton or CalgaryJOB DUTIES
Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
Operate various pieces of equipment, including but not limited to: side booms, dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, bobcats, and zoom booms
Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt
Load/unload materials
Assist in demolition work
Excavate trenches
Complete pre-job equipment inspections
Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
May perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be in possession of a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized
Must be in possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL)
Must have previous experience operating equipment on an industrial work site
Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset
CSTS-09, CSO, or BSO
Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
Able to work well in a team environment
Organized and self-motivated
