In this role, you’ll assist the Store Manager in driving sales, coaching and supporting team members, ensuring operational excellence, and creating an outstanding customer experience.   • Support daily store operations by scheduling, assigning, and following up on employee tasks. Recruit, select, orient, and train team members to maintain a strong and capable staff.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees, providing feedback and guidance to help them reach their full potential. Address performance issues as needed.
  • Assist in achieving financial objectives by preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Build strong customer relationships by understanding their needs, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a welcoming store environment.
  • Drive sales and marketing initiatives by analyzing promotions, display plans, and operating/financial reports to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure the store is safe, clean, and compliant with all company policies and procedures.
  • Implement and monitor loss prevention and shrink programs to protect company assets.
You are best suited for this role if you have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of management experience in a specialty retail environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and building high-performing teams.
  • Customer service-oriented, with in-depth knowledge of retail operations and business management processes.
  • Expertise in shrink reduction, expense control, merchandising strategies, brand differentiation, and partnership development.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for board games, puzzles, and pop culture, with a drive to achieve sales goals.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring employees.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and results driven.
