- Process, code, and track invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately
- Ensure invoices include proper documentation and required approvals before posting
- Prepare and execute timely payment runs, including cheque and electronic payments
- Record payable batches and related journal entries accurately and on schedule
- Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with resolving payment discrepancies
- Work confidently within accounts payable software and coordinate with IT support when needed
- Provide daily administrative support, including correspondence, scheduling, and office coordination
- Manage office and break‑room supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems and company records
- Provide backup support to the Executive Assistant as required
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees
- Support special projects and additional administrative tasks as needed
- Post‑secondary education in administration, accounting, data management, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a comparable accounting support role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook; familiarity with modern tools is an asset
- Experience with accounting software such as Great Plains, QuickBooks, or similar systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
