Rideau St. Lawrence Distribution Inc. is the local electricity distributor for approximately 6,000 customers located in Prescott, Cardinal, Iroquois, Morrisburg, Westport and Williamsburg.   • Powerline Technician Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification (or equivalent)
  • Valid Class DZ or AZ-Restricted Driver's License in good standing
  • Grade 12 High School Diploma
  • Master electrician license with the ESA (considered an asset)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities for the position include but not limited to:
  • Follow all industry regulations and safety standards (IHSA, OHSA).
  • Ensure personal safety and team safety in a high-risk electrical environment by understanding and abiding to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of underground and overhead electrical distribution systems (2.4kV, 4.8kV, and 44kV) in a safe and timely manner
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
  • Conduct pre-operational safety checks on vehicles, tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Provides rotational on-call support for after-hours emergencies, ensuring minimal service disruption by reporting to the work site within 30 minutes of receiving the call.
  • Work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting, stretching, pulling, climbing, working at heights, and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate effective organizational skills to document accurate records of materials used on jobs and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Demonstrate Effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with customers and colleagues.
