- Job Description
- Act as technical leader, transfer knowledge, determine project needs, coordinate studies and plans and specifications, write technical reports and determine construction costs.
- Propose solutions to problems encountered and take all necessary measures to ensure that work progresses according to schedule.
- Work closely with the other disciplines involved (civil engineering, transportation, architecture, environment, signage, lighting, etc.) to ensure an integrated and efficient approach.
- Prepare meetings with the customer (alone or accompanied, depending on the level of complexity of the project and the type of customer), follow up and provide feedback.
- Coordinate the execution of work by deciding how tooling, materials and related resources are to be used, and ensure resource occupancy, in collaboration with managers.
- Manage deliverables, budgets, schedules, human resources, approvals of amendments for projects under his/her responsibility, and the financial follow-up of his/her TEC and CAR files.
- Participate in ODS drafting and budget preparation.
- Manage the development and follow-up of the group for the integration of new operational systems or others such as SSE, ISO, office 365.
- Profile
- More than 8-10 years of relevant experience and solid knowledge of civil engineering (road engineering and road infrastructure)
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English. Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our customers, partners and cross-sectoral teams nationwide
- Excellent command of design software (e.g. Civil 3D, InRoads, AutoCAD) so as to be able to support and interact with the design team.
