The FX Options Pricing and Market Data distribution team is going through significant reengineering and modernization. We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer (Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst - C13) to take a hands-on role and contribute to the design and delivery of the system.Responsibilities:Contribute to the design and development of the electronic FX Options Trading Platform specializing in:RFQ (Request for Quote) client or sales to trader workflowStreaming pricesVolatility Surface and other market data managementStructured Product Pricing workbenchLive and End of Day market data distributionCollaborate with a global team of developers, quants and traders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutionsDrive the design and development of system architecture, work with users of the system, and enhance the quality of deliverablesContribute to the continuous improvement of development, deployment and testing processesShare your knowledge and mentor other developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environmentAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Required Skills & Qualifications:6+ years of experience in application development or systems analysis, with proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architectureProficient in Java multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuningHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, particularly in Linux based cloud environmentsOpenShift/Kubernetes experienceCaching technologies e.g. Gemfire, Redis or othersMiddleware technologies: Solace, Kafka, Tibco or otherAwareness of industry trends and leveraging new technologies as appropriateProven track record of building new systems, replacing legacy systems and renovating existing systemsAI-Assisted Development: Interest and experience in leveraging agentic AI development tools to accelerate and improve workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Devin).Preferred Skills & Qualifications:Python and/or C# development experienceExperience working in finance is a plus, but not requiredEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
