- Collaborate in the development of yearly regional and divisional objectives aligned with Toromont’s 3-Year Connect 26 Journey. Set appropriate goals and accountabilities to ensure that these objectives are met.
- Proactively develop and maintain strong customer relationships
- Develop inter-divisional relationships to foster strong working relationships with the Construction and Mining Divisions.
- Lead the Equipment Sales Team leveraging strong Sales Management skills
- Work collaboratively with the Regional Product Support Sales Manager and Product Support Sales Team to achieve revenue targets
- Provide administrative and policy guidance to the regional leadership team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and long term customer engagement
- Track and optimally use assets employed in the achievement of regional ROA targets
- Work with the Credit Team to optimize cash-flow and manage branch financial risks
- Review, monitor, and act on financial reporting information and other business metrics steering the team to measured success
- Identify, develop, implement continuous improvements in the region.
- Work collaboratively with other Regional and Divisional leaders to deliver divisional result.
- Bachelor’s degree and more than 10 years of experience in a similar function and at least 6 years of experience overseeing a team (technical knowledge an asset)
- Understanding and Analysis of emerging market trends to maintain a leadership position in the industries that you serve.
- Understand the budgeting process and ownership of a P&L statement (Equipment, Rental, P&S)
- Coordinate the efforts of your regional team with those of the project delivery group, service operations, and corporate team to optimize outcomes.
- Achieve results across all Connect 26 metrics and ROA and Safety goals.
- Ability to define roles and expectations for team members to align with growth and profitability objectives.
- Strong customer engagement skills as demonstrated through past successes.
- Execute corporate and Power Systems strategies by defining aligned actions, setting goals and delivering results.
- Strong people skills enabling engagement of the team both holistically and individually to establish a winning team mindset for your Region.
- Track record of continuous improvement in areas such as expense management, service operations, cost to serve and business efficiencies.
- Demonstrated strong and effective sales management.
- Proven negotiation skills in dispute resolution and product and service sales.
- Ability to act and lead independently in a decentralized environment to deliver results.
- Weekly and Monthly Reporting skills to senior leadership on achievement or challenges to achieve key business metrics.
- Strong business acumen
- Strong ability to style flex to meet customers and employees where they are.
