- Process patient payments, issue receipts, and submit insurance claims
- Follow up on outstanding claims and explain treatment costs and coverage to patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Manage correspondence including emails, phone calls, and mail
- Order and manage office supplies and inventory
- Ensure compliance with PIPEDA and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Collaborate effectively with dental staff to support patient care
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with frequent patient interaction
- Support reception and assist with scheduling as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in administration or healthcare is an asset
- 5-10 years of experience in a dental or medical office (preferred)
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., OpenDental)
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (an asset)
- Flexibility to work one evening per week and one Saturday per month
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
