As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!Position Summary:Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is hiring seasonal Truck Drivers for our operations in Revelstoke/Golden.Main Responsibilities

Must be licensed and able to safely operate a class 1 Truck.
Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
Ability to work extended hours & irregular days with irregular breaks.
Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records and DOT certifications.
Complete daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle.
Complete all other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
Perform a variety of tasks as needed or required when not delivering concrete.
Must be willing to travel and work out town occasionally (Hotels/LOA provided) when required

Technical Skills

Ability to safely operate and perform daily inspections on trucks.
Some mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to back up efficiently and safely.
Knowledge of road construction procedures.
Knowledge of applicable safety legislation and ability to perform pre and post trip equipment checks and accurately complete driver log books.
Ability to identify safety hazards.

Requirements

Have at a minimum an active Class 3 license (preference to Class 1)
Pass an MVR Test
Experience operating a class 1 truck in construction areas is preferred but not required.
Experience with moving equipment and asset
Employees and partners who need to know
Clean drivers abstract
Experience paving considered and asst
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Working Conditions

Travel as required.
Overtime as required.
Use of personal protection equipment is required.
Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
Must comply with all company policies.
Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Compensation DataThe anticipated hourly wage for this position is $34-37/hr.
