- Run discovery sessions, observe workflows, and analyze data to spot high-impact opportunities
- Build and maintain an opportunity pipeline and help prioritize using impact, effort, risk, and time-to-value
- Identify where AI adds value (extraction, classification, decision support, exception routing, summarization) vs. when rules/workflow is better
- Create clear problem statements, target outcomes, and measurable success metrics
- Map current state → future state processes, including exception handling and “human-in-the-loop” steps
- Produce solution artifacts: requirements/user stories, decision logic, data needs, integration points, and acceptance criteria
- Recommend implementation approaches (workflow automation, integrations, OCR/extraction, agent-assist, rules engines)
- Coordinate with Technology/Product as needed for APIs, integrations, security, and platform alignment
- Work with outsourced vendors to validate feasibility, review designs, and keep implementation grounded in business needs
- Support testing (UAT), QA readiness, rollout planning, and post-launch iterations
- Ensure documentation is complete (runbooks, SOPs, training materials, support handoffs)
- Establish baselines (time, cost, volume, error rates) and track realized benefits after launch
- Contribute to governance: privacy/security considerations, auditability, controls, and model risk guardrails
- Help drive adoption through training, office hours, job aids, and feedback loops
- A steady pipeline of well-defined opportunities with strong stakeholder alignment
- Faster cycle time from “idea” to “approved MVP scope”
- Deliverables that measurably reduce cost-to-serve, cycle time, and rework while improving quality
- Clear, audit-friendly documentation and smooth handoffs to operations/support teams
- 2-4 years experience in process improvement, business analysis, operations excellence, automation, or technical analysis (internship/co-op counts)
- Strong analytical skills: can break down messy processes and define measurable outcomes
- Practical familiarity with AI and automation concepts (LLMs, OCR/extraction, classification, workflow automation, human-in-the-loop)
- Ability to write clear requirements and acceptance criteria; comfortable translating between business and technical teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple departments
- Experience with tools like Jira/Confluence, Salesforce, Zendesk, NetSuite, Workato (or similar iPaaS/workflow tools)
- Basic understanding of APIs, data flows, and systems integration
- Experience with process mapping (Visio/Lucidchart/Miro) and metrics/KPIs
- Exposure to governance topics: privacy, security, model risk, audit controls
