- Develop motor schematics and electrical drawings.
- Interface with utility companies and external stakeholders.
- Create single‑line diagrams, three‑line diagrams, and relay schematics.
- Develop technical specifications and datasheets for medium‑voltage equipment, including: Transformers, Switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Capacitor banks and other MV equipment
- Size and specify medium‑voltage power feeders.
- Design and analyze medium‑voltage electrical systems (up to 13.8 kV) for oil and gas facilities.
- Perform protection relay selection and develop relay and breaker settings.
- Conduct ETAP power system studies, including: Load flow, Short circuit analysis, Ground fault rise, Protection coordination, Arc flash studies, Feeder ampacity calculations
- Prepare RFQ packages for the procurement of electrical equipment.
- Review and evaluate vendor drawings and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, vendors, and construction teams to support project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technologists.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility preferred.
- Strong background in medium‑voltage electrical design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience producing electrical schematics and design documentation.
- Solid understanding of both medium‑ and low‑voltage systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client‑facing experience and strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience supporting non‑technical bid evaluations.
- Relay programming experience (or ability to coordinate outsourced programming).
- Site and commissioning experience.
- Registered P.Eng with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
- Self‑sufficient, motivated, and proactive mindset.
