Could It Be You?Reporting to the Training & Development Supervisor within Client Enablement, the Instructional Designer is responsible for the design and development of tactical learning solutions that support the Client Services team. The role focuses on creating high-quality, agent-facing modules for new product launches, promotions, and service updates. By applying established instructional design techniques and multimedia tools, the ID ensures effective knowledge transfer and technical accuracy to drive departmental performance and a consistent customer experience.Need more details? Keep reading…In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Designs and develops solutions that help advance human performance and drive business impact with a customer focus mindset to ensure linkages to customer experienceConducts design analysis, scopes project objectives and analyzes target audience expectationsDefines learning objectives, describes tasks and activities, estimates the resource requirements, and creates detailed design structureWrites, storyboards, and edits learning and performance support interventionsEnsures learning solutions are instructionally sound, and developed on time, within scope and budgetStays up to date with industry trends, actively monitoring new technologies (like AI, Learning Management Systems), emerging design trends, and adult learning research to keep skills current and relevantIdentifies learning gaps and recommends tactical solutions to address themActs as the technical point of contact for vendors during asset productionMay network with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practicesBuilds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholdersParticipates and acts on multiple internal projects varying in size and complexityFocus is primarily on business/group within organization; may have broader, enterprise-wide focusProvides specialized consulting, analytical and technical supportExercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given guidelinesWorks independently and regularly handles non-routine situationsCollaborates with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and instructional integritySupports with facilitating trainingsIdentifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision makingSupports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersEnsures alignment between stakeholdersDevelops effective project plans to facilitate the building of learning programs and curriculum to close gaps identifiedReviews the program for effectiveness, considers industry trends and recommends enhancements; makes changes as requiredSo are YOU our next Senior Instructional Designer? You are if you…Have 3+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experienceHave knowledge of accessibility principles/practices and the implications for design and developmentHave proficiency in applying standard ID methodologies and emerging design toolsHave experience in the design and development of training for multiple delivery methodsHave knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experienceHave experience with authoring tools (Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vimeo, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit)Have strong verbal & written communication skillsHave strong collaboration & teamworking skillsHave strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAre skilled at data-driven decision makingHave project management experienceAdditional kudos if you…Have experience with graphic design and video editing/creationHave experience working in the financial industryCompensation Information:Base salary range: $64,000 - $74,000The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada).
