We are WSP.The OpportunityShape Something Different - Join our Applied Solutions team as an Environmental Driller and O&M Technician, where your field expertise drives environmental protection, safe drilling practices, and the reliable operation of remediation and groundwater systems across the GTA. This role blends hands-on drilling activities, O&M support, and well-related field work that protects water quality and strengthens community resilience.Your Impact
- Carry out environmental drilling activities, including soil, groundwater, and rock sampling for investigation and remediation programs.
- Install, develop, and maintain monitoring wells and piezometers in accordance with regulatory and project requirements.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain groundwater wells, pumps, and treatment systems to ensure safe and reliable performance.
- Support system installations, including assembly and commissioning of mobile treatment units.
- Perform routine O&M tasks such as calibration, mechanical adjustments, and instrumentation support.
- Conduct groundwater and treated-water sampling programs; complete accurate field forms, logs, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot drilling or system issues in the field to minimize operational downtime.
- Oversee subcontractors on drilling, fabrication, or O&M tasks, ensuring alignment with work instructions and safety protocols.
- Apply established H&S procedures, quality-control standards, and field protocols to every task.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and lifecycle performance across field operations.
- Experience in environmental or geotechnical drilling, groundwater systems, or field-based O&M (3-7 years ideal).
- Class 3 Well Technician License (preferred) with demonstrated skill in well operation or maintenance.
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
- Skilled in handling pumps, drilling tools, sampling equipment, and field instrumentation.
- Valid AZ or DZ licence (preferred), enabling travel to project sites across the GTA.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations, groundwater protection requirements, and safe drilling practices.
- Comfortable working in outdoor, dynamic field environments with sound judgement and adaptability.
- Digital proficiency (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) to support reporting and collaboration.

MB & ON: $60,900 - $83,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 - $80,000Disclosure:
