- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of test development engineers supporting coherent optical transceiver programs across R&D and manufacturing phases.
- Define and execute long‑term test and calibration strategies aligned with product, technology, and manufacturing roadmaps.
- Architect scalable, accurate, and cost‑efficient test stations for high‑volume production of coherent optical products.
- Own electrical, optical, system‑level, and environmental test strategies for coherent optical communication systems.
- Drive development and deployment of automated test equipment (ATE) and calibration systems for coherent components and subsystems.
- Partner early with R&D to influence design for testability, calibration approaches, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturing partners to transition new coherent transceiver and modem products into mass production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in optical, electrical, or hardware engineering, including leadership responsibilities in highly technical environments.
- Proven experience managing competing test development and production priorities across multiple programs or teams.
- Strong understanding of coherent optical communication systems, including modulation formats, digital signal processing, and impairment analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with optical and electrical laboratory measurement equipment and script‑based automation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute design verification plans and regression testing for complex hardware systems.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills across hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams.
- Experience with high‑speed coherent optical transceivers (400G, 800G, and 1.6T) and associated digital signal processing, transimpedance amplifiers, drivers, and photonic components.
- Background in advanced modulation transceiver design and system‑level test and debug.
- Proficiency with Python, LabVIEW, or similar test automation frameworks to improve throughput and consistency.
- Experience driving yield improvement, test time reduction, and cost optimization in high‑volume manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to machine learning‑based optimization or predictive models applied to test efficiency or manufacturing analytics.
- Experience supporting hybrid or onsite lab environments with occasional travel to partner or contract manufacturing sites.
