The General Manager will oversee operations, warehousing, and strategic partnerships and is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining equipment, building and leading a local team, and developing and maintaining current relationships with the ability to increase partnerships with their clients.Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage daily transportation operations, including fleet management, routing, warehousing, and scheduling.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor performance metrics such as delivery times, fuel efficiency, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure your team operates in a safe environment.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor costs and implement cost-control measures.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote professional development.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talent by applying effective hiring practices and building a strong future workforce.
