Net Developer

• Work with other team members to execute the project deliverables related to the deployment and integration of .NET Framework, and data integrity.
• Play a hands-on role in the implementation of new functionality and micro-service integration to the .NET Framework application, participate in project team meetings and plans for rollout of the .NET configuration changes, and perform related systems integration changes.
• Design, develop, implement, the integration interfaces of new or existing micro-services.
• Perform defect root cause analysis, conduct code unit testing, review test plans and test cases, support and provide resolution to functional and UAT defects.
• Advise on best practices for .NET Framework processes, user interface, and architecture.
• Document system information for input to user instructions to be used for the end-users training.
• Perform Data Importing and Reporting on an “as needed" basis, provide knowledge transfer before end of contract.
• Monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting regularly to I&IT management and clients’ decision makers.
• Document the new requirements and complete analysis and design document.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standard methodologies such as I&IT project management and development (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative) methodologies.
• Transfer skills and knowledge to selected OPS staff.

• 7+ experience with .NET Framework and developing custom applications using .NET Framework version 4.5.2 or higher.
• Experience configuring and customizing .NET Framework solution and develop webservices based on best practices.
• Experience adopting and adhering to industry standards in architecture and systems development methodologies.
• Knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) web content guidelines.
• Experience in .NET Framework architecture and Implementation methodology.
• Knowledge of .NET Framework configuration and integration with other micro-services and systems.
• Knowledge of integrating REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience performing software testing and working within testing practices and methodologies.
• 5+ years of experience with Agile project management and development practices (managing the backlog, preparing and supporting the scrum master, sprint planning, creating user stories etc.

• Work on the configuration and customization of .NET Framework solutions to meet the business requirements.
• Create all type of web resources, webpage, JavaScript, etc.
• Configure and administrate user accounts, profiles, roles and security.
• Create detailed design documents, participate in JAD meetings and design review sessions.
• Provide guidance to the IT cluster stakeholders and business users on the deployment and end to end integration of the tool.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture artifacts (or similar), processes and practices, and ability to produce technical documentation that comply with industry standard practices.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standard such as Project Management Institute (PMI) and standard unified I&IT project management methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience with Health related or Health Insurance related I&IT projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of policy and IT project approval processes and requirements.
• Experience adopting and adhering to unified I&IT project management methodologies, enterprise architecture and gating frameworks, and standard systems development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and it’s municipal equivalent the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and their respective regulations.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving interpersonal and decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong hands-on experiences with several .NET Framework development and implementations.
• Experience with the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture, preferably in a government environment.
• Experience in data conversion and import using system tools, and SQL Queries.
• Experience performing database and data integrity verification.
• Experience designing, documenting and developing webservices and APIs.
• Experience creating functional and technical specifications documentation.
