Our client one of Canada’s foremost real estate development, construction and property management firms, is looking for a Senior Property Accountant. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of property management accounting. This role will report to the Director, Operations Accounting,What you will be doing:Review and/or preparation of monthly financial statements for income producing propertiesWork with the property management team to provide timely and accurate accounting informationMaintain lease and tenant information in YardiReview and ensure accuracy of rent rollsMaintain capital asset continuity schedulesAssist with the preparation of annual budgetsAssist with the preparation and/or review of annual CAM ReconciliationReview and/or preparation of quarterly Joint Venture statementsCalculate monthly management feesFinancial data entry including preparation of journal entriesMaintain the company’s policies and proceduresOther tasks as assignedWhat you must have:Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting; CPA designation an assetExperience: 5+ years’ experience in full cycle real estate accountingStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to meet tight timelines while managing multiple projects and priorities effectivelyDetail oriented with a high level of accuracyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OutlookSalary/Rate Range: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00Other Information:
This full-time salaried position works 8:30 am – 5:00 pm in the office, Monday through Friday and is in downtown Vancouver.
