
Accountant (m/f/d)

- Ensures accounting transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Tracks fixed assets and completes necessary forms throughout the fixed asset process (capital expenditure budget - construction in process - asset creation), posts depreciation, and prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Maintains lease balances and prepares monthly postings in accordance with IFRS 16.
- Reviews inventory transactions, researches variances, and reconciles to general ledger balances. Supports annual stocktaking and financial audit observation.
- Reconciles, investigates, corrects, and adjusts accounting information in accordance with aggressive deadlines.
- Proactively identifies unique problems, such as reconciliation/posting issues, and seeks help to resolve, if necessary.
- Assists during the audit with explanations, reconciliations, and schedules.
- Support Accounts Payable functions including posting invoices, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required, or equivalent work experience;
- CPA desirable
- 3-5 years general accounting experience, including account reconciliation and balance sheet review
- Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable experience desirable
- Excellent analytical, math, leadership, interpersonal, project and time management, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Capability of exceeding goals with minimal supervision, strong business acumen, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Proficient in personal computer skills and widely used software packages, e.g. spreadsheets (Excel), and word processing (MS Word).
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver's abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

- Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Properly use applicable safety equipment, including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

- Speak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members.
