OVERVIEWThe Diagnostic Imaging Manager oversees the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC). This role ensures compliance with legal, professional, and hospital standards, while supporting clinical and technological operations. The Manager fosters collaboration among staff, departments, and the Medical Directors to promote excellence in patient care.ROLE
Oversee and manage Diagnostic Imaging services across all MAHC sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care
Lead departmental planning, policy development, and implementation of operational goals aligned with hospital and regulatory standards
Manage staffing, including scheduling, supervision, performance evaluation, and ongoing professional development
Foster a positive work environment that supports staff engagement, collaboration, and work-life balance in a 24/7 care setting
Prepare and monitor operating budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization and supply management
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, radiation safety standards, and infection prevention practices
Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor performance indicators, and support accreditation readiness
Act as a liaison between staff, physicians, departments, and external partners to ensure seamless, patient-focused service delivery
Represent MAHC in regional planning activities related to diagnostic imaging services
Participate in strategic projects, internal and external committees, and continuous service improvement initiatives
Perform other duties as may be requested by the Director
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education in a Regulatory Health Profession is required; a Master's degree in a related field is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of current progressive professional experience with a focus in diagnostic imaging
Minimum of 3 years of current progressive leadership experience in a unionized setting
Current registration with a Regulated Health Professional College in good standing, i.e. College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario
Educational preparation/courses in Leadership or Management an asset

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONLocation: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville.
