- Serve as the Data & Analytics Architect for the Cyber Division, providing end-to-end architecture expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Copilot Studio. This includes data ingestion, modeling, semantic design, reporting, governance, and AI-assisted analytics.
- Deliver high-impact reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, including:
- Designing data ingestion processes and establishing trusted data repositories
- Developing semantic models and implementing DAX
- Building optimized, user-friendly reports
- Performing performance tuning and implementing governance practices (endorsements, certification, lineage)
- Design and implement Copilot Studio agents to answer data-related questions and automate workflows using Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft Graph. Ensure strong governance through RBAC, Power Platform DLP policies, and responsible AI practices, including grounding and evaluation for data Q&A and workflow automation.
- Implement secure, authenticated data refresh processes (OAuth2/API keys), including:
- Integration with external systems via REST APIs
- Handling pagination and throttling
- Configuring on-premises data gateway connections as required
- Documenting assumptions and limitations
- Leverage Copilot in Power BI to accelerate report development and generate insight summaries.
- Promote responsible AI practices by ensuring data readiness for Copilot, applying grounding and evaluation standards, and enabling users in alignment with Generative AI guidelines.
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to Cyber Division colleagues to support knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Minimum of five (5) years residing in Canada and eligibility to obtain Security Clearance
- At least five (5) years of advanced experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, performance analyzer, and governance
- At least five (5) years of advanced experience with API integration for analytics (authentication, pagination, throttling)
- At least two (2) years of advanced experience with Microsoft Fabric fundamentals (Workspaces, Notebooks, Pipelines, OneLake, SQL Analytics)
- At least two (2) years of advanced experience designing and integrating Copilot Studio agents (Power Automate, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph)
- Experience with RTI/KQL and Activator alerting
- Demonstrated experience as a technical lead within a Power BI or Microsoft Fabric Community of Practice
- Proven ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels
