If you are an experienced water and wastewater operator who excels in compliance, process monitoring, and facility maintenance, we want you on our team.Role OverviewAs the Water & Wastewater Facility Operator, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring private potable water and wastewater treatment facilities for the Lynn Lake Gold Project. Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, you will ensure all systems operate safely and in compliance with the Manitoba Water and Wastewater Facility Operators Regulation and applicable drinking water and effluent quality standards.Salary Range: $27-$31 CAD per hourKey ResponsibilitiesOperations & Compliance: Operate, inspect, and maintain water and wastewater collection, treatment, and distribution systems to meet regulatory and quality requirements.Monitoring & Process Control: Monitor, analyze, and adjust process parameters; interpret laboratory results and system readings to identify and correct operational inefficiencies.Sampling & Reporting: Collect water and wastewater samples, perform standard laboratory testing, maintain accurate logs and records, and support regulatory reporting requirements.Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform minor equipment servicing, general maintenance, janitorial duties, and inspections of ancillary equipment such as lift stations, heat trace, hoses, and related systems.Safety & On-Call Support: Safely handle treatment chemicals, including caustic and acidic substances; respond to after-hours callouts and participate in standby coverage as required.Physical & Field Work: Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, working at heights, confined space work, and operating in inclement weather conditions.What You Bring to the Table
  • Valid Manitoba Water and Wastewater Facility Operator Certification, with the ability to maintain the following minimum levels:
  • Class 2 Water Treatment (WT)
  • Class 1 Water Distribution (WD)
  • Class 1 Wastewater Collection (WWC)
  • Class 3 Wastewater Treatment (WWT)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in basic electrical repair, plumbing, and millwright-related tasks.
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, laboratory testing, and quality control practices.
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation, WHMIS, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Computer literacy, including experience with monitoring systems and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions
  • Full-time rotational schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Site-based role at the Lynn Lake Gold Project, Manitoba
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and work from heights
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and adverse weather conditions

0 years: • Sound knowledge of The Workplace Safety and Health Act and other relevant regulatory and legislative acts, codes, policies, guidelines and procedures related to water and wastewater operations and maintenance; health and safety procedures/WHMIS.
