- Identify and pursue new Cyber treaty opportunities with insurers, MGAs, and brokers.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow HSB's Cyber treaty portfolio in Canada.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cedants, brokers, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent HSB at industry conferences and client meetings, strengthening our brand and market influence.
- Negotiate and structure treaty agreements to drive profitable growth while managing risk exposure.
- Underwrite and manage a profitable book of Cyber treaty and group business.
- Monitor portfolio performance, loss trends, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and risk management teams to optimize treaty terms and balance risk/reward.
- Provide input into portfolio-level decisions to ensure sustainable profitability and growth.
- Work with internal teams to develop innovative Cyber treaty products and solutions.
- Align treaty strategy with HSB's broader Cyber portfolio objectives.
- Stay ahead of emerging Cyber risks, regulatory changes, and market trends.
- Mentor and coach junior underwriters, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, Economics, or related field; advanced designations (CIP, FCIP, CRM) preferred.
- 7-10+ years of experience in reinsurance, cyber underwriting, or treaty business development.
- Proven track record in building and growing reinsurance treaty partnerships and portfolios.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of reinsurance structures, cyber risk trends, and market dynamics.
- Analytical, entrepreneurial, and proactive approach to business development.
- Experience mentoring or leading teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client/broker meetings and industry events.
