  • Provide design and technical support for the layout, design and specification of electrical systems for industrial plants and related infrastructure
  • Design and draft equipment and auxiliary components in 2D and 3D drawing environments
  • Review project documents for scope, presentation and technical accuracy
  • Establish good working relationships and communicate with area leads, department managers, clients and other team members to coordinate, ensuring the compatibility of design
  • To carry out duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead electrical engineer
  • Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, engineering and design calculations.
  • Quality control of all deliverables within the scope of electrical engineering
  • Act as a discipline focal point as required
  • Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures
  • Prepare and/or review electrical single line diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics, Load list, Equipment list, Cable schedules and all other Electrical deliverables assigned by lead.
  • Provide construction support as required
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering Design Technology or similar.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience required
  • Electrical design experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be familiar with electrical safety and code compliance requirements.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart Plant Electrical, PDMS, Auto Plant
  • Electrical heat tracing design experience
