**Please note this role is based out of British Columbia. **The role of the Retention Expert is to support Honda Canada to achieve the National Parts sales plan by working with the Honda and Acura dealer network to deliver key Fixed Operations business objectives (volume/revenue/profit/retention) in their respective markets. This role will apply tactics to improve key KPI’s by focusing on dealers with greatest improvement opportunity, including hand raisers. They will work with opportunity dealers to identify gap root causes & recommended actions through facilitating a dealer led “troubleshooting guide” approach to gain buy-in of Dealer Principals & General Managers to implement sustainable action plans for performance improvement. In addition to Opportunity Dealer performance improvement responsibilities, Retention Experts may also be assigned Large Project Leader (LPL) status to lead the planning and execution of selected Parts and Service business plan activity items from time to time.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide the Service Retention Management team with any in-market business insights and identify trends from the industry and dealers that might impact our approach to business plan activities.Work with the Service Retention team to gain consensus on overall Parts & Service Sales and Profit annual plans and focus areasUtilize experience and key learnings to develop annual business plan & budget for LPL activity where required.Once annual Parts & Service volume and profit plans are set, assist in development of Dealer Engagement activity plan to achieve key business objectives through working with the Dealer network to support performance improvementDevelop activity plan tracking tools to guide and report progress of dealer engagement activities, and achievement of revenue and profit targets for Honda Canada and the dealer network as the year progresses.Work with identified dealers, engaging DP/GM, to facilitate Troubleshooting guide process and monitor dealer implementation of identified actions to improve performance of key identified opportunities.Through above activities, monitor progress to generate targeted levels of revenue and profit for the Dealer and Honda Canada.Leverage available programs and data to identify and action dealers with greatest impact on achievement of overall national targetsComplete monthly review and assessment of planned vs actual activities, including measurement of progress towards end goals for core measuresComplete quarterly departmental PDCA, summarizing key themes & insights from monthly PDCA to guide future process enhancementsProvide input to Strategic Planning as needed from time to timeCareer Development & Training;Expand knowledge of the company’s operations;Potential for Monthly travel to meet business needs;Additional duties as assigned by manager.QUALIFICATIONSPost secondary education required - University/College degree/diploma in Business or an automotive related discipline ;3-5 years experience working with automotive retail dealership management an asset;Previous territory/regional management an asset;Automotive Dealer territory management;Automotive Dealer financial statement familiarity;Fixed Operations business KPI’s and insights;Building a business case ;Change Management;Microsoft Programs (PPT, Excel, Word), Outlook, Lucid (project tracking);Well-developed communication, interpersonal, analytical, administrative, and problem; solving skills, self-motivation required.
