- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture a minimum of 5+ years of agronomic or sales experience with direct customer contact. Individuals with a 2-year diploma in agriculture and extensive industry experience will be considered. Ag retail experience, or experience working with ag retail partners, is considered an asset.
- A keen interest in agronomy and a passion to help independent ag retailers succeed.
- Proven ability to interact well with customers, suppliers, employees, and management.
- Ability to create and present interesting, informative, and educational technical presentations. Experience in data analysis is considered an asset.
- Ability to effectively work independently in a remote environment, while also maintaining a collaborative virtual team relationship.
- Proven ability to solve and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to lift 50 lb. bags, climb on and off farm machinery, walk and work in field plots.
- Daily travel, extended hours and overnight travel required.
