GrizzlyTrek is seeking a dedicated and experienced First or Second Class Power Engineer to join our Clients gas plant operations team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the operation and maintenance of plant equipment, with a keen focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance, particularly in the management of sour gas processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in amine and sulfur recovery systems, contributing to our commitment to excellence.Key Responsibilities: * Operation and Maintenance: Oversee the operation and maintenance of the plant's equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency standards. Experience with amine and sulfur recovery units will be highly regarded.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, with a specialized focus on sour gas handling.
  • Troubleshooting: Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain continuous plant operation.
  • Monitoring Systems: Operate and monitor control systems efficiently, responding promptly to deviations or alarms.
  • Maintenance Planning: Assist in planning and executing routine maintenance and outage activities to ensure plant reliability.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Participate in emergency response drills and incidents, demonstrating preparedness and safety awareness.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate operational records and report on plant performance and operational issues.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and staff to ensure optimal plant operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement efforts, suggesting operational and safety enhancements.
  • Mentorship: Guide and train junior staff, promoting adherence to best practices and safety standards.
Requirements: * Valid First or Second Class Power Engineer Certification as per Alberta standards.
  • Experience in sour gas plant operations, with amine and sulfur recovery knowledge considered a significant asset.
  • Proficiency in control systems and industrial automation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resilience under pressure.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
