JOB SUMMARY
Aftermarket sales technician, providing technical support and service to customers after the sale of products, coordinate with subcontractors for installation of products and sourcing of installation materials, preventative maintenance inspections, repairs and parts sales for existing installations. This role requires a strong understanding of the products and applications in source capture exhaust and filtration equipment / exhaust fans and dust collectors. - Completion of post-secondary studies in business or a technical trade, such as electrical work, millwright, or a similar field, is preferred.
- A natural ability to handle service and maintenance tasks in an industrial setting.
- Strong skills in sales and customer service.
- Previous experience in related roles is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Willingness to develop expertise in industrial ventilation systems and motor control troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming, ladder logic, and variable frequency drives is an advantage.
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to thrive in an adaptable, self-driven work environment.

- Open to learning new technologies and taking ownership of personal growth and job performance.
- Actively promote the sale of replacement parts, recommended spare parts, and preventative maintenance services to customers.
- Develop the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs where possible, or escalate issues to the appropriate team member for swift resolution.
- Contribute to identifying and resolving challenges in the production process.
- Perform onsite tasks such as preventative maintenance, assembly, and repairs. Collaborate with contractors for large-scale installations, retrofits, and services related to industrial ventilation systems.
- Provide detailed reports after each service, including descriptions of tasks completed, parts used, time spent, travel distance, customer interactions, and purchase order details to ensure prompt invoicing.
- Assist customers with urgent service requests when equipment is down, including providing estimates, coordinating parts delivery, and ensuring quick resolution.
- Learn to measure airflow and make adjustments to ensure the system is working according to design specifications. Training will be provided to develop these skills.
