The Configuration Controller is responsible for ensuring proper categorization and control of Configuration Items (including engineering parts and documentation), while ensuring compliance with Configuration Management (CM) policies throughout the full product lifecycle across both major and minor projects.Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to technical direction within assigned scope
- Estimate hours and timelines required for assigned tasks
- Support project scheduling and deliverables in line with project plans
- Provide input and updates for project reports
- Maintain CM structures, documentation, and supporting tools
- Participate in progress meetings and project reviews
- Manage the transfer of configuration documentation to customers
- Support Change Control Boards and help prepare review data and end-item data packages
- Track and register classified data in compliance with EIA-649C standards and CM best practices
- Handle secure and confidential documentation, both internally and externally
- Oversee documentation review, control, and archiving in alignment with company CM procedures
- 3+ years of experience in Configuration Management or a related discipline
- Experience supporting CM activities across multiple projects or applications
- Familiarity with CM principles, change control processes, and industry standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CM software tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Program status and relevant government security clearance (including NATO clearance)
- Experience with Windchill, PDM systems, and/or IFS/ERP/MRP platforms
- Background in the defense or aerospace industry is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

- Familiarity with industry CM standards such as EIA-649 and ISO 10007
